We offer virtual personal training and nutritional guidance for people wanting to lose weight, gain muscle, start a fitness routine, get control of their diet and just feel better with more energy. All sessions are conducted online and are designed to be done from home with either no equipment or as much equipment as you want, to be able to meet your goals. Each program is designed individually and taught thoroughly to take the guesswork out of nutrition, weight loss and fitness.
Virtual coaching or personal training works very much like in person personal training. The difference is you are on your computer or phone for the appointment and do the work from home instead of the gym. The sessions are conducted on Google Meet. Some sessions will be the hard workouts we do together or walking you through them step by step. Some sessions will be learning times, either the workouts or nutrition topics.
The workouts are tailored to each person’s needs and goals. What do you want to achieve? We work with many different types of people with different goals anywhere from Yoga to Bodybuilding to peak performance goals. Most people need to lose weight and gain muscle or increase mobility and agility. Whatever the goal, the workouts are designed for each person and their needs. These are not prepackaged one size fits all workouts. If you want to lose weight, maintain weight, learn Yoga, start body building, or have a specific health goal or issue then this might be a good fit for you because each workout program is specific to each person’s needs.
The coaching sessions are one on one training sessions. Group training will be available but only as needed and for extra work only. For example, Yoga is time consuming to learn. Some group sessions will be offered to go over the details of the poses and such. Not just Yoga, but other programs of this type will occasionally be offered as well. It is an additional class and included in your normal training. All additional classes are optional and will only be offered occasionally.
If you want to lose weight and look amazing, gain muscle, train for weekend sports, start body building, learn Yoga, or just have more energy and feel better then this program could be for you. We are more than qualified to help. Currently, our credentials are with two major companies that offer certification and training for fitness and nutrition. We hold certifications with the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM). How much do you want to lose? The answer to the question depends on you and how dedicated you are to achieving your goals. We are well qualified to help you reach your goal weight. Keep in mind, as you think though your goals, it takes time to learn new things and integrate them into your life in a meaningful way. Health and fitness is a journey, how much and how fast depends on where you are in the journey.
Appointment times are flexible. We can work with you and your schedule and your availability .
The program includes all members of your household. Keep in mind that for young people, kids especially, the programs are a little different. Some teens love working out and enjoy the challenge. Some are video game kids and will need some extra encouragement to get moving. They might need small ideas to get started. If you have an athletic kid then our performance work will be helpful. For young kids, usually some fun type of activity is best through you instead of personal training but can work on a case by case basis. They do better, usually, through planned activity with you versus the on screen person. We will give you direction and lots of ideas either way. Sessions can be together or separate depending on the needs and goals of each person. All the appointments are included in the same monthly pricing schedule. For individuals without families, we encourage you to add one person to your training at no additional cost. It is good to have a workout partner and someone to help with the accountability part of the work.
Yes, however, you can cancel at anytime on the monthly program with no penalties. We prorate based on how many days passed in the month until cancellation. Billing is done in arrears on or near the 1st of each month and due by the 10th of the month. Get paid on a different schedule, no problem, just let us know and we will change the due dates.
Getting started is easy. The first step is to call us to schedule your consultation meeting. We do these via Google Meet. This meeting is to get to know each other and is really a discovery type meeting where we make sure we are a good fit. We want to make sure we can help you reach your goals and all your questions are answered. We’ll go over the programs and talk about your goals. Next, there is a paperwork grouping to fill out. Once that is finished and turned in we schedule your first sessions. No money is due up front, billing is in arrears at the first of each month.
Yes, we teach and train bodybuilding from home. Most people can make an immense amount of progress with minimal equipment. We will walk you through what you need and the set up of your home gym a little at time to make it easy. Since so much of body building is with the use of free weights, we will talk about those first. If you already have a basic set then great! If not, don’t purchase one until we have that conversation as sometimes we can plan far ahead and save quite a bit of money in the process.
Yes! We love teaching Yoga. There are two programs. The first is part of the corrective exercise and recovery programs. Yoga has all the stretching and warm down posing work along with the body straightening, pain relief work of corrective exercise needs. It is the feel good and relaxing part of the work. We include this program in all other programs. The second is Yoga in a more traditional sense. We teach Hatha Yoga with an Ashtanga leaning. We also teach Yin Yoga. We do not currently teach any of the chanting or spiritual aspect of the typical Yoga class. If you have questions, give us a call and will be glad to answer them!
Pain or medical issues are very common. We have medical screening questionnaires to help find the issues up front. In some cases you will want to check with your doctor before starting a program. If you have a more serious or specific issue that needs close monitoring we can work with your doctor to follow their recommendations. If you have a medical issue, be sure to let us know before starting the program. If you are thinking it could be an issue, we recommend checking with your doctor first. Most of the time, after getting the correct guidance from your doctor, you can continue and achieve whatever goal you wanted to achieve.
Nutrition coaching is a vital component to achieving your goals. You can’t outwork a bad diet. We will look at your current diet and work towards health first. Once you understand health and are making better choices day to day, with lots of guidance and food ideas, we can look at macros which are the blocks of all food. First is health, next is macro work which is how to keep track of your needs and not over or under eat the nutrition you need day to day and week to week. We will also look at calories and nutrients along with the macros of protein, carbs, and fats as your food ability education increases to get more and more specific. It sounds complicated but with simple changes and lots of education you will be healthier and losing weight while gaining muscle much sooner than you might think.
No! And yes, maybe. Calories are sometimes useful when the scale isn’t moving or starts creeping up. It is a very specific measurement that is a tool but not the only one. We will teach you how to count calories, what your caloric goals should be, help you track and understand how it works along with the macros then when you have it all figured out, stop! The idea is to understand what you are eating and how it is effecting your body. We don’t care about the calories but we do care what is happening with your body. You will be able to estimate each day without counting and when you really understand how it works and are making healthier choices it will feel like you can eat whatever you want!
Don’t worry though, it is a long process that will happen slowly over time.
The programs are set up in six month increments. How fast you achieve your goals is up to you and how dedicated you are in your work. It also depends on how big your goal is that you want to achieve. The six month increments are designed to give you a certain amount of education and work to help you become autonomous and proficient for your at home workouts and food choices. There are no cancellation fees or set times for how long the programs have to last.
You can do either any time you need to. Cancellation can be anytime with no penalties. Billing is prorated based on how many days have passed in the month when cancelled. Taking a break works the same way. Break when needed and start again when you are ready.
Yes, that is fine. You might change your mind over time and that is fine as well. The important part is that you understand the information offered and implement the workouts and nutrition guidance. The sessions are held via Google Meet and starting your video on your end is optional. It is highly recommended that for the exercise sessions you are viewing the video and observing form and the other aspects of the routines being worked on at the time.
Yes. Most people have some kind of pain when they start and need corrective and pain relief. If the pain is from a surgery or is chronic, we recommend checking with your doctor first. The initial forms we send out will help us understand but be sure to let your doctor know your plans and get their advice first.
Low back pain is very common. Most of the time it will go away after a few months of work but if you have chronic low back pain and have never been to see your doctor then we recommend that first. There are different kinds of pain ranging from debilitating to aches and discomfort. Yoga with recovery and corrective exercise can sometimes cure the lesser pains.
No, you don’t need any equipment to get started. As you progress and are able we can talk about equipment and what you might want to purchase, if any. We work with people that that never use equipment and with people that want to set up a home gym.
Yes, questions are welcome anytime. Just give us a call, send an email or if you are a current client then feel free to text. Keep in mind, we are training people throughout the day and may need to answer your questions later in the day or the following day.
Maybe. If you are gym adverse and still want to be fit and healthy then we might be a good fit. We only work with people who want to learn how to achieve their fitness and weight loss goals from home.
Yes, with some restrictions. Kids are all unique in how they respond to training. Young kids tend to do better with active play options introduced by their parents. It is usually better to teach you how to approach active play but sometimes the kids want to workout. In the case of most kids, they will do what you do and follow your example. Lots of times the kids want to workout with you and we will coach you on how to modify for them and keep them interested. Other kids and teens might want their own sessions and workouts.
Those types of workouts are a little different than the adult versions especially with weights. Athletic kids or kids in athletics might have specific needs as well for their specific sport. We work with all kinds of young people and meet them where they need the help to achieve their goals and the goals of the parents for them.
Yes, we will modify anything needed in the programs to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
